Ubisoft has announced that a closed beta for XDefiant has gone live today, giving you a chance to try out the free-to-play, fast-paced arcade-style shooter, developed by Ubisoft San Francisco.
The XDefiant Closed Beta includes all 14 maps that will feature in the full launch version of the game, four factions inspired by Ubisoft franchises (beyond Tom Clancy stuff since the game dropped the name), 24 weapons, 44 weapon attachments, and five explosive devices.
Playable factions in the closed beta include The Cleaners from The Division, Libertad from Far Cry 6, Echelon from Splinter Cell, and Phantoms from Ghost Recon Phantoms, each of which has three characters to choose from (only one from each faction is initially unlocked).
You can register here for a chance to play the XDefiant Closed Beta on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC, live now until 23rd April. Progress won't carry across to the full game but you will be able to keep up to ten cosmetic items to use in XDefiant when it launches.
