EA and developer Ascendant Studios have announced that Immortals of Aveum, the upcoming single-player “first-person magic shooter”, will be launching this July, published under the EA Originals label.
Set in an original fantasy universe bristling with magic, Immortals of Aveum takes place amid raging conflict, as the world teeters on the brink of the abyss. Playing as protagonist Jak, you'll join an elite order of battlemages known as the Order of the Immortals, mastering the magical spectrum of blue, green, and red.
Wielding powerful magic in a “visceral and cinematic” story, Jak will be able to decimate legions of foes using chained attacks and well-timed counters, in spell-based FPS combat. “We set out to create a cinematic, thrilling shooter set in a new fantasy world, with fast and fluid combat and an epic story,” says Game Director Bret Robbins. "I can't wait for everyone to play it.”
You'll be able to join the ‘Everwar’ when Immortal of Aveum launches for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC on 20th July, with pre-orders granting access to the Purified Arclight sigil, which increases the power of Jak’s spells. The Immortals of Aveum Deluxe Edition includes a unique sigil, three rings, two bracers, and three totems.
